Celestial Insects - An Enamel Pin Badge Set

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to post a quick update to say thank you so much for backing this project, and I can't wait to get started with the process of making these pin designs a reality for you all~!

I'm building the surveys now for each pledge tier, and will be sending them off for review very soon - keep an eye out in your inbox for another update once they give me the go ahead and you'll then be able to let me know exactly which pin designs and add-ons you would like.

Failed Payments

Payments for the funding are currently being processed, and as it stands currently, details on my end are showing that there are 39 failed pledges. Please can I ask you all to check your details and make sure your payment has gone through!  You can do this by going to your profile menu and clicking "Your Pledges & Surveys". Click on "Celestial Insects" and check if you were successfully charged. If the charge failed, you can retry charging your card by re-entering your card information. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's finally time for me to reveal the new design for the Celestial Insects collection, the Celestial Scorpion!

Both the Gold and the Rainbow versions of this design are available, bringing the total number of pins in this collection up to eight. I hope you all like them, and I've updated both the campaign page and available tiers to reflect this. This means that the original "All In" Tiers now cover 6 pins, rather than the full set of 8, just as a heads up!

What to do if you want to add the extra pins to your pledge:

If you're an Early Bird backer on the "All In" Tier, and you want to add 2 extra pins, EDIT YOUR PLEDGE, RATHER THAN CANCELLING IT, as this still works out cheapest!

If you're on any other Tier, go for the new "All Eight" Tier to get the best deal on the full set. If you want a mix of different designs, just use the Add-Ons feature to add as many extra pins you want that way. Just message me if you have any questions about this, as I appreciate it might be a little confusing and I apologise for this - I had absolutely no idea the campaign would do this well, and I appreciate your support beyond words!

Add-Ons!

As discussed in my previous update, I also wanted to add some extras for you to choose from and add to your pledges. I'm so excited to announce that you can now add a Limited Edition "Moth Beast" foil print to your pledge, check it out:
I will only be printing 100 of these, and once this campaign is over, any leftovers will go into my online store and then once they're gone, they're gone! Backers of Celestial Insects will be able to get one of these for £12, which will be much cheaper than after the campaign ends. 

I've also added some Holographic Stickers too - you can check them all out in the Add-Ons section of the campaign. If you have any questions, please do reach out to me!

Hey everyone!

It's been a mad week and I still can't believe how well this project is doing - thanks so much for your support and for enjoying the designs so much.

I have some good news - I've sketched up the initial rough draft for the fourth and final pin design, which I decided to base on a scorpion! I thought extra tails and a hidden "ogre" type face could work really well, so I added a central eye and went from there. I might move the eyes and have a play with the hidden "face" a bit more, but what do you all think?! This will of course come in both Gold and Rainbow, like with the other designs:


I also plan to add a few extras as Add-Ons too!

Abi Steven's Celestial Beasts project has done so well, we both discussed the potential for adding some holographic stickers based on the pin designs too. I'll be drawing those over the weekend, as well as getting some quotes for A5 foil prints featuring gold foil to see if those would work as an add-on option too. A5 size works the best, as this means I can keep postage/shipping the same as my original estimates, and I'll reveal the design later for this if the quote ends up being viable! I'll likely limit the A5 print to 100 copies, and they will be individually signed and numbered. But anyway, more info about everything next week!

What a start!

Hey everyone! I thought I’d post a quick update to let you know that we smashed through the initial goals for the 6 designs within the first day of the campaign going live, which is absolutely bonkers - thank you so so much!

This means that I’m going to design a fourth pin for the series, hopefully some time next week, so keep your eyes peeled~

Don’t forget that the Early Bird discounted tiers are only going to be available for another 8 hours from the time of this post going live too, so if you’ve been on the fence about pledging, now might be a good time to do so to secure the special offer.

Finally I can show you all the two collab pins Abi Stevens and I have come up with!

These are two separate 1 inch gold enamel pin badges which combine to form one piece when displayed! We decided to go for an eye with wings around it, each of us adding our own unique twist and style to our halves.



(The final pins won’t include our names or signatures of course, this image is just to show you our concept and designs!)
I wanted to ensure mine looked quite insect-like so used Fly wings for reference, and after seeing Abi add a touch of blue to her design, decided it might be cool to add a little bit of blue to mine too for the compound eye to bring them together as one piece. This was so much fun to work on, and I can’t wait to see what they will look like when produced, if our projects reach their goals. 

I’ll be posting the rainbow variants for the main pins next week, keep an eye out! They will be stretch goals~
